Oktober 2024

Am 26.10.2024 fand das 10. Neuroscience Symposium statt.

Wir haben uns gefreut folgende Sprecher*innen begrüßen zu dürfen:

Mahan Hosseini vom Forschungszentrum Jülich:

I research the neural mechanisms underlying cross-species motor control, aiming to identify shared dynamics as well as important differences between species. In particular, I study locomotion in mice and humans, adopting machine learning as well as computational modelling approaches.”

Michael Schöll von der Universität Göteborg:

Neurodegenerative diseases are notoriously difficult to diagnose early and there is still no cure available for dementia disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Biomarkers derived from imaging modalities such as positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), as well as biomarkers based on the analysis of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) or blood, have become immensely important especially for the early identification of individuals who are likely to develop a neurodegenerative disorder, since an established notion is that potentially successful treatments should be deployed as early as possible in the disease process.”

Rula Gabarine von Singleron Biotechnologies:

As a Project Manager at Singleron, I oversee customer NGS projects, guiding clients from the initial alignment call through to the final results presentation. My role also includes managing invoicing in both the EU and US, as well as maintaining a meticulous inventory for both international and domestic shipments. In addition, I serve as the company's Sustainability Officer, responsible for developing and implementing sustainability policies and tracking key performance indicators.”

Im Anschluss daran fand die Postersession statt. Infos zu den Vortragenden findet ihr hier.
