The Computer Center (ITCC) is a central institution of the University of Cologne and offers technical support as well as numerous useful IT services for members of the university. Many of these services can be very useful for your studies, which is why we would like to introduce you to some of them here. However, it is important to note that you need an active student account for these services!

Online data storage

The RRZK offers a variety of options for storing files online. Many of these services work in a similar way to Dropbox, but have the advantage that the data is only stored on internal university servers, which means that no third parties or only members of the university have access to it. The most recommended services include SoFS online storage and Sciebo.

Software shop

Via the RRZK software store, members of the university can order and download certain software at reduced prices or even for free.

Among other things, students can also use Microsoft Office and Windows updates for €5.94 per year via Bildung365. Further information on Office and Bildung365 can be found on the RRZK website.

In addition, there are other helpful offers from the RRZK, so just take a look at their website!
